Max Cleaner - Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Guangzhou Midong Technology Co., Limited ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Max Cleaner mobile application ("App").

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the App immediately.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information necessary to operate the App and provide its features.

We do not upload, store, or analyze your photos or videos on our servers. All media processing is performed locally on your device.

1.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily

If you contact us, you may choose to provide:

• Email address
• Device details
• Issue description

This information is used solely for customer support purposes.

1.2 Permissions Required to Provide App Features

Photo Library Access (Read & Write)

Used for:

• Detecting similar or duplicate photos and videos
• Compressing videos on your device
• Clean up and merge your contact list
• Saving optimized or edited media to your device

We do not upload or store any images or videos. All processing occurs on-device only.

1.3 Subscription & Purchase Information

Through Apple APIs, we may receive:

• Product identifiers
• Subscription status (active, expired, trial)
• Purchase timestamps

We do not receive or store your credit card or payment information.

1.4 Device & Technical Information

Collected automatically:

• Device model
• Operating system version
• Language and region settings
• App version
• Anonymous identifiers (e.g., IDFV)
• Crash logs (if enabled)

This data is used to improve performance and diagnose issues.

1.5 Usage Information (Anonymous Analytics)

If enabled, we may collect:

• Screens viewed
• Feature usage statistics
• Interaction patterns

This data is aggregated and not linked to personal identity.

1.6 Gmail and Email Cleanup Data

The Gmail cleanup feature is optional. We access Gmail data only after you choose to connect your Google account and grant permission through Google's OAuth consent flow.

If you connect Gmail, we may access Gmail data necessary to provide the email cleanup feature, such as your Gmail address, message IDs, sender, recipient, subject, date, labels, size estimate, snippets, and other message information needed to scan, display, select, and move emails to Trash.

We use Gmail data only to provide user-requested email cleanup actions, including:

• Logging in to Gmail after your authorization
• Scanning emails for cleanup review
• Displaying emails so you can choose what to clean
• Moving selected emails to Trash after your confirmation
• Disconnecting your Gmail account when you request it

We do not sell Gmail data, use Gmail data for advertising, or use Gmail data to train AI or machine learning models. We do not permanently delete Gmail messages by default. Selected emails are moved to Trash after user confirmation.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and operate App features
• Perform on-device media processing
• Provide optional Gmail email cleanup features after user authorization
• Manage subscriptions and eligibility
• Improve stability and performance
• Analyze aggregated usage trends
• Prevent fraud and misuse
• Comply with legal obligations

We never use your media files for analytics or AI training.

3. On-Device Processing (Important)

Max Cleaner processes photos, videos, and other media entirely on your device.

We do not:

• Upload your media to external servers
• Store or retain your media
• Use your media for machine learning
• Share your media with service providers

This ensures privacy and control over your personal content.

4. Data Retention

• Technical and subscription data is retained only as long as necessary
• Crash and analytics data may be stored in aggregated form
• Support-related data is deleted once the issue is resolved
• We never retain copies of your photos or videos
• Gmail access is retained only as necessary to provide the optional email cleanup feature, and you may disconnect Gmail access at any time

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

We only share limited information with service providers necessary to operate the App:

5.1 Apple Inc.

Used for:

• Subscription verification
• Purchase validation
• System crash logs (if enabled on your device)

Apple does not share your payment card information with us.

5.2 Firebase (Google LLC)

Used for:

• Anonymous analytics
• Crash reporting (Crashlytics)
• Performance diagnostics

Firebase receives technical data only and cannot access your media content.

5.3 AppsFlyer

Used for:

• Advertising attribution
• Performance measurement
• Fraud detection

AppsFlyer may receive certain device-level identifiers but does not access or process your photos or videos.

All service providers are required to:

• Comply with applicable data protection laws
• Protect your data with confidentiality and security measures
• Use data only for the services they provide

We do not share your personal data with other third parties unless required by law.

We do not transfer Gmail data to third parties except as necessary to provide or secure the App, comply with applicable law, or with your consent.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for general users and is not specifically targeted at children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Data Security

We apply industry-standard security measures, including:

• Encryption where appropriate
• Secure transmission methods
• Access controls

Gmail access tokens are protected using reasonable technical safeguards and are used only as necessary to provide the optional email cleanup feature.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. International Users

Your information may be processed in regions where our service providers operate.

By using the App, you consent to such processing in accordance with applicable laws.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction or deletion
• Withdraw consent
• Request data portability

You can disconnect Gmail access in Max Cleaner at any time. You can also revoke Max Cleaner's access from your Google Account permissions page. After access is disconnected or revoked, Max Cleaner will no longer access your Gmail account unless you authorize it again.

10. Google API Services User Data Policy

Max Cleaner's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" will be updated accordingly.

Continued use of the App indicates acceptance of the revised Policy.
